First Year Intro to Digital Media: Motion Graphic

For my final motion graphic assignment in intro to digital media, I created a book trailer for Angie Thomas’s 2017 novel, The Hate U Give. I aimed to engage a young adult audience interested in reading this book and for fans who have already read it to extend their experience. I wanted this trailer to curate interest for the book, while also communicating the the core themes that it deals with including that of cyclical racial violence and discrimination. Elements and Effects were created in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Animation created using Adobe After Effects.
